Our Rector

Fr. Shawn Doubet was elected rector of The Church of St. Andrew the Apostle in October of 2009. Fr. Shawn was ordained to the diaconate on May 19, 2001 and to the priesthood on September 2, 2006. He has a Master’s of Theological Studies from Nashotah House Theological Seminary, which he received in 2010. Before seminary, Fr. Shawn taught German and Social Studies at Bureau Valley High School in Manlius, IL for 11 years.

For Fr. Shawn, the move to Peoria was a move home. He is a lifelong resident of north central Illinois, having grown up in Princeton and lived with his wife, Karen and three daughters, Alyssa, Kaitlyn and Emily, in Buda for 16 years before moving to Peoria.

I addition to his duties as rector at St. Andrew’s, Fr. Shawn also serves as Director of the Secretariat for the Diocese of Quincy (ACNA).
