Outreach and Service
St. Andrew’s seeks opportunities for outreach in our community and world. We have engaged in praying for and meeting people in our immediate neighborhood, as well as participating in other events within the community. On the international level, a medical mission to the Dominican Republic had a strong leadership connection through St. Andrew’s as well.
We work with the Peoria Friendship House of Christian Service (FHCS) in our local neighborhood to help meet the needs of people in our area. Our Friendship House ingathering of food occurs on the 3rd Sunday of each month. Donated items are brought forward with the offering to be blessed before being taken to Friendship House. St. Andrew’s contributes to the emergency needs of those seeking help and support from Friendship House through an emergency fund.
Please see the following information and opportunities to serve those less fortunate through FHCS:

St. Andrew’s seeks to promote the mission of Nashotah House for the training of future priests of the Church. The Bishop Parsons Scholarship Fund was created to provide greater financial resources for seminarians with the large financial commitment a seminary program involves. The Archbishop Michael Ramsey Society for Lay Associates is a means whereby laity may become more closely involved with Nashotah House and support seminarians through the Bishop Parsons Scholarship Fund as well. Please see the following brochures about these very worthwhile programs:

God bless us all as we seek to love and serve the Lord!
